Planners

City and commercial planners in regional areas often plan based on state or federal averages. Such statistics can be indicative, but they lack nuance and don’t accurately account for the local context and as a result can be misleading. To address this issue, the Relational Insights Data Lab (RIDL) employs granular place-based  (locally specific) data which provide a more accurate picture of what is going on at the regional level. By clearly defining the place, and then building up regionally specific data from multiple sources (both quantitative and qualitative),  RIDL enables planners to ensure that their community has the right infrastructure in place to flourish.
